ORACLE_HOME

ORACLE_HOME specifies the (home) directory where Oracle products are installed. This directory is exactly one level below ORACLE_BASE.
On Unix, there is usually an environment variable $ORACLE_HOME whose value points to the ORACLE_HOME.
On Windows, the value for ORACLE_HOME is usually stored in the registry.
