The result of a select statement will usually break every 10th row
and insert a heading. Often, this is annoying. Example:
select last_update from foo where rownum < 25; LAST_UPDA --------- 23-JUL-01 20-APR-01 09-APR-01 09-APR-01 09-APR-01 10-APR-01 10-APR-01 10-APR-01 10-APR-01 10-APR-01 10-APR-01 LAST_UPDA --------- 10-APR-01 10-APR-01 10-APR-01 20-APR-01 20-APR-01 20-APR-01 20-APR-01 20-APR-01 03-MAY-01 04-MAY-01 04-MAY-01 LAST_UPDA --------- 04-MAY-01 04-MAY-01 04-MAY-01 09-MAY-01
